ANNIE ALMASIAN

Annie Almasian passed away on May 1st 2018, after complications from her battle with cancer. Annie was born in Detroit Michigan January 9th 1929 to Takvor and Heghnah Hachigian. Annie was predeceased by her sister Barbara and brother Onnig. Her sister Rose Mouradian resides in Milford Michigan.Annie grew up in the Delray area of Detroit, where she worked in the family grocery store with her brother Onnig. She graduated from Southwestern High School, and then took a position at the Ford Motor Company payroll department. In May 1953 she married Hampo Almasian. They moved to Allen Park and together raised three beautiful children: David, Dyane and Steven (Serop). She had four wonderful grandchildren: Stephanie (Shaun), Kevin, Zak, and Erin (Damien). She also had three great grandchildren: Kasey Ani, Everett, and Marnie.Annie enjoyed reading the newspaper and listening to the news. She often said that she should have worked for the paper. Annie loved gardening and grew many flowers and vegetables. Annie was an excellent cook and made many Armenian dishes and pastries. She very much enjoyed helping cook at the church whenever she could. Annie loved her family!FUNERAL ARRANGEMENS In State May, 6, 2018, Sunday, from 5pm to 8pm, with Dan Gark Prayers at 7:30pm in St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church, 19300 Ford Rd; Dearborn, MI 48128.Then family will also receive friends in the church on Monday from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 11am. Entombment in the family crypt in Woodmere Cemetery, Detroit, MI.The family suggests Memorial Donations be sent to St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church.
