It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Craig Tarpinian.
Craig Tarpinian was born on October 22, 1960, in Detroit, MI, and passed away on August 15, 2025, with his loving family at his side.
He was the loving son of the late Andrew and Anne Tarpinian.
Married to Lisa Amroian on July 21, 1990, at St. John Armenian Church in Southfield, MI, they shared 35 years of marriage. He was a devoted and loving husband and father to Lisa and Matthew, a cherished brother to Cindy (Mike) Zavadil, Jeanette (Rick) Smith, and beloved uncle to Ryan Zavadil, Jennifer (Mark) Polega, Holly (Kevin) Orr and family, Dana (Jerry) Redoutey and family, and Scott Smith. He was lovingly embraced by his in-laws, Margaret Amroian (the late Art) and Susan (Ronald) Nash.
A graduate of North Farmington High School, Craig earned his B.A. from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor from Thomas Cooley Law School. Craig was a partner at Powers Chapman Law Firm and was an adjunct professor at Madonna University for thirty years.
Craig was a proud Armenian and an active member of St. John Armenian Church, having taught Sunday School for twenty-five years and served on the Parish Council.
His favorite pastimes include collecting baseball cards and going to sporting events with Matthew and rooting on his alma mater, the Michigan State Spartans.
Craig was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He will be greatly missed.
