DAVID SHERMAN Obituary

David William Sherman, passed away August 26, 2020, following a brief illness. He was born June 19th, 1947, to Henry and Joyce Sherman of Ferndale, MI. There, after graduating high school, he joined and was proud to serve the National Guard for 6 years. He grew up with his 3 older brothers, (late) Richard, Dennis, and Dale. Together, and later and most importantly with his son Aram, they loved outdoor activities, hunting, fishing, and always looked forward to his next trips up north. From Wolverine to the U.P, Dave loved being with his family, being outdoors, sitting by a campfire.Throughout his life, he loved classic cars and rebuilding engines, most recently, his 1972 Stingray Corvette. He also loved wood-working and building. From building an addition and deck on their house, or making oak coffee tables for family, Dave loved working with his hands. Above all, family was most important to David. During their 50 years of marriage, Dave and Adrina were blessed with their three children, Aram, Stefi, and Lorig, and 7 grandchildren, Jack, Peter, David, Lucie, Mary, Ani, and Michael. In spite of a busy work schedule as an Automotive Sales Engineer, Dave always made a point to have special outings with his family. You could always count on him, for anything. From chartered fishing boat trips, to golf outings, to white water rafting, or vacations up north, shuttling back and forth to the airport, or watching the grandkids when sitters couldn't show up, Dave was always reliable, and would shift his schedule to help his family. If you needed a Christmas gift opened, the grandkids would go to their grandpa because he always carried his pocket knife. If you had any problems, if Dave couldn't fix it, he always had a guy who would. He took care of his people, and was always one to be counted on and had a solution for everything.Dave will be sorely missed by friends and his beloved family.FAMILY MEMBERSBeloved husband of Adrina Sherman.
