Eleanor Lafian peacefully pass away on May 30, 2022, in Beaumont Taylor Hospital. Born in Buffalo, New York on August 26, 1936, she was the daughter of Joseph and Sara Thomasian. At an early age, the family moved to Detroit, where Eleanor received her school education,
After graduating from high school, Eleanor met her life’s love, Oscar Lafian, at a family event. The happy couple married and settled down in Taylor, Michigan.
Eleanor was a dutiful wife to her husband. They could always be seen together at church and community functions with their pleasant, smiling faces. Eleanor also remained dedicates to her parents. She provided care to her parents and to Oscar’s parents through their golden senior years, to the very end. Eleanor shall be fondly remembered for her wonderful personality, full of love and a caring spirit for family and friends, alike.
Her beloved late husband, Oscar Asadur Lafian; dearest brother and sister-in-law, Leo & Eleni Thomas; dear neighbors Sandra and Jose Cortez;
Many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral will take place on June 2, 2022, Thursday at 11:00 AM in St. Constance Catholic Church, 21555 Kinyon Street, Taylor, MI 48180. Visitation will be from 10:30AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM. Entombment will follow in Michigan Memorial Cemetery, Flat Rock, Michigan.
