LORI MANOOGIAN-JOHNSTON Obituary

Lori Manoogian-Johnston passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2021 at age 68, after a battle with cancer. She was born February 7, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Rose Manoogian. Loving wife of husband Pearse for 41 years, and beloved mother of Adam Johnston (Molli), and Emily Johnston. She is survived by her sister Natalie Mosher (Bob) and brother John Manoogian II (Connie).

Her loving family included nephews Robert Mosher (Alexis), Aaron Mosher (Aimee) and John Manoogian III (Barbara). Cherished Great Aunt of Dean Mosher, Gavin and Alina Mosher and Ruby Manoogian. She had an extended family of many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with many close lifelong friends. She was a proud Armenian, and put her family above everything else.

Lori had Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Michigan. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School.

Lori’s life was dedicated to education and her many students. Her teaching career spanned over 30 years. She had a positive impact on the thousands of students who were fortunate enough to have had her as their instructor. Her influence on her young students was immeasurable.

She had a passion for cooking and was a master in the kitchen. Her skills at word games and puzzles were top notch. She enjoyed travel between their home in Michigan and a home in Arizona. She was a warm, generous and outgoing woman that touched the lives of all those around her – and will be missed dearly.

CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE

An event to celebrate her life will be planned for early February for close friends and family.
