Louise Betty "Manoogian" Swindler (Nee Matosian) peacefully passed away July 24, 2018 in Cape Coral, Florida. Born March 26, 1925 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, her parents were Bedros and Mary "Bedrosian" Matosian. Her siblings were Albert Matosian (who later was a WWII Purple Heart casualty) and her sister, Jean, (who later predeceased Louise). After Louise graduated high school, she met Richard Manoogian at a dance in Detroit. They married in 1946 in St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church in the Armenian Community Center "Findlater" building in Detroit. Their marriage was Blessed with the birth of their children Although she was hard at work in their family's "Dick and Lou's" business on Livernois & Tireman, Louise always made time and enjoyed family picnics with her children on Belle Isle. She also enjoyed traveling, cooking, and entertaining her family and friends, and was renowned as a mean card player!! Later in life, after Richard's passing, she married Gerald E. Swindler to live out their Golden Years in Florida. Louise loved all in her life and when she laughed, everyone laughed with her, Loved ones, including her nieces, nephews, family and friends, are left with happy memories of "Aunt Louise".VISITATION and FUNERAL Visitation will take place in St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church, 19300 Ford Road, Dearborn, MI on July 30, 2018, Monday from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 12 noon.Interment will be in the Manoogian family lot, next to her deceased former husband, Richard, in Northview Cemetery, Dearborn, MI.Arrangements are in the care of Simon Javizian Funeral Directors 248-736-7815Kindly leave a loving remembrance here for her family and friends to see.Thank YouThe family suggests that Memorial Donations be sent to St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic ChurchFLORISTS Please deliver flowers directly to the church on Monday morning.
