MARIAN KACHADURIAN

Marian Kachadurian peacefully passed away October 6, 2021, nine days before her next birthday, with her family by her side. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on October 15, 1928, she was the daughter of Khatchig and Satenig (nee Darhanian) Avedikian. An avid reader, Marian graduated from high school and earned her Bachelor of Education degree at Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia. She then utilized her perfect ability to teach elementary school students in the 2nd and 5th grades.

Attending a relative's wedding in Dearborn, Michigan, she met her future husband, Fred Kachadurian. Happily, they were married in 1957 and were blessed with the birth of their children, Brian and Karen. They established their home in Dearborn, where Marian continued her part-time career in the Dearborn School System until her retirement in 1996.

Marian was a dutiful mother, who raised her children in a life filled with the appreciation of fine education. Enjoying many vacations together, she thoughtfully planned their trips to include places of historic significance. Marian shall always be remembered for expanding the horizons for her family, children and grandchildren.
