Norman Javezian passed away October 18, 2019, in Novi, Michigan, with his loved ones around him. He was born in Detroit, MI to Marderos & Ankina Javezian on September 15th, 1929. He graduated from Cass Technical High School in 1948 and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in August of that year. He served as a PFC until his honorable discharge in 1949 and served another 6 years in the Marine Corps Reserves.He joined Ford Motor Company in 1950, in the Drafting Apprentice School, while also working in the Engineering Design Group. In 1953, Norm left Ford Motor Company to work in various automotive design firms including 5 years at General Motors Fisher Body.In 1955 he married Esther Babian of Highland Park and started a family of 2 loving daughters Leslie and Carol. In 1964, he returned to Ford Motor - Body Engineering as a Body Designer and later advanced to the position of Product Design Engineer. During this time, he completed his BS Degree in Industrial Education at Wayne State University. After over 26 years with Ford, Norm retired in 1988, but continued to work as a consultant to Ford until 1996.Norm gave back to his community by serving on the St. Sarkis Board of Trustees, member of 100 HYES also serving as Vice Chairman. He taught drafting classes at Henry Ford Community College night school helping many young engineers and draftsmen improve their educations.He enjoyed Golfing, Reading and watching the Redwings on TV. Norm is survived by his loving wife Esther Javezian, daughters Leslie Leaser (Steve), Carol Boes (John) and two grandsons Evan and Christopher Boes.REQUIEM SERVICENorman will be officially remembered, in the Requiem Prayers following Divine Liturgy in St. John Armenian Church, 22001 Northwestern Hwy, Southfield, MI 48075, on Sunday morning, November 10, 2019.FINAL RESTING PLACEHis final resting place is in the family crypts of the Chapel of Prayers Mausoleum in Woodlawn Cemetery, Detroit.MEMORIAL DONATIONS IN LIEU OF FLOWERSIn lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to either St. John Armenian Church, Southfield, or St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church, Dearborn.CONDOLENCESKindly click on "Share a Memory" and leave a condolence remembrance here.
