ROSE VARTOUHI GABRIEL

Rose Vartouhi Gabriel peacefully passed away in her West Bloomfield, Michigan, home on March 25, 2017, lovingly surrounded by her family. Born in Basrah, Iraq on August 4, 1921, her parents were Hagob and Regina Gabriel. When she was 8 years old, the family moved to France, where her well-to-do parents enrolled her in a Boarding School for her education.The family moved back to Basrah, where Rose completed her schooling and graduated from high school. Rose married Mugurdich Gabriel in Basrah, and was blessed with the birth of her three children, Nver (Vera), Nazar and Nubar. Rose was a devoutly religious woman who raised her children with love and caring. She immigrated to the United States in 1994 and was reunited with her children in the Detroit area. As fate would have it, she had become a widow, but Rose lived her life in peace as a woman of faith leaving a legacy of love to her family.....................A private burial service will take place in North Farmington Cemetery.
